One of my biggest loves in life right now, is exercise.
Running in particular.
It's a new love, i've never really exercised until i was like 17/18.
Why? I don't know. I did'nt really care for it.
Those days, looking at people who exercised every day - i thought, why?
Why would you spend so much time in the gym when there's so many other things you can do?
Well, now i know!
Now that i exercise regularly i can't do without it. It's not something i need to do - it's something i HAVE to do, i want to do.
It's part of my day, part of me, something i need to feel good.
I feel crap when i don't work out.
I love making progress, sweating my ass off, being sore
Some people exercise for weightcontrol, to look good.
I'm not one of them.
I'm one of those hated fast metabolism girls.
I have been thin all my life, therefore never had to exercise to be thin.
But i have to admit then turning 18 did change something.
I was still thin but.. not in shape. Skinny-fat as some call it.
Though that still wasnt the reason why i started.
I've always had health problems, and with my problems i was encouraged to exercise.
So when i finally started, it felt great.
Because the stronger my body is, the better i can handle pain.
I've always looked up to peope that ran.
Always dreamt of becoming a runner some day.
And then somewhere last year i finally started.
I've been hooked ever since.
There have been some pauses, but even though i stopped - i started again, again & again.
Right now i'm training for a 10mile race.
Or 16km as we call it here.
I've only seriously started training 2 months ago,
and just this week i decided to train with more professional 'help'.
I'm going to use Hal Higdon's 15 K training guide!
I've only just started with this guide yesterday so i can't say much about it -
but i'll keep you posted (:v
Another thing i love is yoga.
I don't do it religiously like i used to, but i try to do it at least 3 times a week.
I love how in the morning it gives me energy,
and at night after a busy day - it calms me down.
I will admit that i do not only love the way it makes me feel,
the way it has changed my body is a really nice bonus!
My legs have gotten a lot firmer, so has my bum.
I do a little weighttraining to tone up my arms, shoulders, back.
My body just toned up a lot, and i love it (:
Me & exercise are new loves, but i think we were meant to be (;
